Jyoti Khandpasole is a TISS post- graduate in social work (Criminology & Correctional Administration), Masters in Law (Criminal) and studied ‘Development Management’ from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. Her education, experience and keen interest in 'Social work in Criminal Justice System' lead to established DISHA in year 2008. She is founding president and fully committed to DISHA.
Dr Vasudha Tantarpale has completed her M.S, M. Phil and Ph.D in science (Botany) and working as Head and Associate Professor in renowned Vidhyabharati Mahavidyalaya of Amravati. She has 31 years of teaching experience and has always been inspiration and helping hand to needy & poor student. Her desire to contribute in social cause brought her in close contact with DISHA and made her actively involved in creating awareness among students and colleges in Amravati.
Pravin Khandpasole a science graduate from Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University started his career as 'Marketing Executive' in Pharma industry and renounced his lucrative job to join 'Development Sector' in 2000. He devoted his first two years of social work in 'Rural Development' and later spent seven years in rehabilitative work with 'life convicts' in Amravati and Nagpur Central Prison. Along with his intense work with prisoner, to sharpen his interventions he completed his Masters in Social Work. While working with prisoners, he always felt equally for devastated 'Crime Victim'. In 2008 he founded DISHA to ensure 'Right & Equal Access to Justice' to crime victim and in 2014 able to bring state level policy change in the interest of crime victim commonly known as the 'Maharashtra Victim Compensation Scheme, 2014' with budgetary provision. For this notable work he received renowned 'Ashoka Fellowship' in year 2014.
Swapnil Patane is B.E. (E&TC) and has 14 years of wide experience in software quality assurance. He is currently engaged in BMC Software India, a Software company in Pune, Maharashtra. He has been actively involved in enhancing tech-front of DISHA.
Ashok Hirulkar is commerce graduate and had completed Master of Education (M.Ed.) (Hearing Impairment) from Pune University. Though he had ample opportunities in Pune, he chose to serve poor and tribal children in Pusad block of Yavatmal district. There he served for 25 years in Mukbadhir Vidhyalay, Phophali and enabled especially abled children to get educated and better livelihood opportunities in life.
Ashwini Ajankar is trained social worker and has experience of working with youth, women and engaging them in better livelihood opportunities in Pune, Maharashtra. She is successful entrepreneur and run her own small business in Nagpur.
Dr. Abhijeet Sonawane has done Diploma in Industrial Electronics; he heads resQ security and loss prevention and has 15 years of experience in project management. He is actively involved in further development of DISHA Community Centre.
